GAMS Standards release notes

Review-first FAQ opportunities. Added a working-group workflow that turns de-identified themes from recent Ask AI questions into suggested FAQ questions with demand context and, when grounding is available, draft answers and citations. Members review each suggestion before adding it as a draft and can receive notifications when new opportunities are ready.

AI-assisted feedback responses. Working group members can now request AI-generated draft replies to feedback threads, review sources and similar conversations when available, edit the response, and decide whether to post it.

Richer AI access to collection resources. Expanded AI-readable collection access with detailed text renditions and outlines for templates and references, pagination for large documents, extraction from linked PDF, Word, and Excel files, flattened schema fields, latest-version hints, and more faithful spreadsheet, Word, and PDF structure.

Stable, editable collection links. Published collections now use persistent, readable URL slugs that publishers can edit. Existing IDs and previous slugs redirect to the current address so saved links keep working, while richer metadata and structured content improve search and social previews.

Safer content and linked resources. Hardened content rendering and linked-resource processing with unsafe CSS blocking, private-network protections, file-size and type limits, safer download headers, and validated social-image sources.

Share feedback and suggestions. Added an authenticated Share feedback panel to collection pages, where visitors can send feedback and suggestions to the responsible working group, follow the resulting conversation, and reply without leaving the public viewer.

Email notifications and daily digests. Added configurable email alerts for mentions, thread replies, new threads, collection questions, and membership updates, with immediate or daily-digest delivery, a preferred digest time, and reply-by-email support.

Working group metrics. Added a metrics workspace for working groups showing visits, material use, downloads, content engagement, interactions, and total event volume across managed collections, with consolidated and per-collection Excel reports.

Multiple action owners. Actions can now have multiple responsible owners. Creation and editing flows support selecting several members, and action views show every assigned owner.

Working group resource management. Added complete resource loading, filtering by name, update date, or description, sortable columns, visible update dates, and clearer retry and empty states.

Contextual entity references. Upgraded entity references in thread editors and messages to rich, accessible chips with entity-type icons, owning-collection context, and direct links to the referenced record.

Document-aware AI grounding. Switched collection file ingestion to layout-aware parsing so spreadsheet cells and tables, along with structure in longer documents, are available for more accurate grounded answers.

Search indexing reliability. Fixed search metadata and synchronization to respect lifecycle states across content types, preserve automatically detected fields, keep required scopes filterable, and index linked sites without protocol-related failures.

Grounded Ask AI. Added an authenticated Ask AI panel to collection pages with streamed, formatted answers grounded in collection files, schemas, glossary terms, FAQs, and linked web resources. Conversations persist across page refreshes and include an expanded reading mode, recent-question shortcuts, reliable answer generation, and clear citations with source-type icons, corrected destinations, and copyable GAMS links.

Release notes. Added a dedicated release notes page for month-by-month system updates across the public viewer.

Privacy and GDPR documentation. Added public privacy and GDPR pages with detailed platform data-processing, retention, cookie, and contact information.

Consent-based analytics. Added a first-party consent banner, cookie preference controls, and analytics handling that respects visitor opt-in state.

Self-hosted fonts and robots metadata. Switched viewer typography to self-hosted Nunito Sans assets and expanded robots metadata for public and AI discovery.

Public collection visibility. Updated the directory and collection API so proposed collections are not shown in the public viewer.

Public viewer launch. Launched the public standards viewer with collection and working group directory pages backed by the platform APIs.

AI-optimized access. Added AI-readable collection APIs, markdown and schema endpoints, MCP support, content negotiation, llms.txt, llms-full.txt, and sitemap generation.

Schema exploration. Added richer schema exploration, code viewing, property rendering, JSON Schema utilities, and schema detail pages for published collections.

Working group participation. Improved working group cards, state badges, request-to-join behavior, authenticated group actions, and group detail handling.

Collection resource presentation. Refined collection pages, template sections, reference sections, update content blocks, downloadable resources, and collection logo handling.

Search and directory ordering. Improved directory search, visible group states, collection ordering by validation time, and generated catalog ordering for AI clients.

SEO and social previews. Added shared site metadata handling, dynamic Open Graph images, default social preview assets, canonical URLs, and public sitemap support.

Cross-origin and download reliability. Updated collection CORS middleware and improved template, reference, and schema download routes for public consumption.
